Children’s groups meet in the church building during the 10.45 Sunday service. A variety of age related activities are provided with an emphasis on fun alongside opportunities for spiritual growth. All the leaders are CRB checked and there is also training in first aid, health and hygiene, as well as skills and experience in Christian children’s work.
Creche – for 0- 2 year olds, meets in the Rainbow room and is staffed by a rota of adult leaders, some of whose children are in this group. A variety of toys, games and stories keep these young children occupied and happy.
Sparklers – for 3-5 year olds, meets in the lounge. They use the Light materials produced by Scripture Union form the basis for the sessions in this group. Activities can include stories, drama, singing, craft and games.
Powerpack – for 5-11 year olds, meets in the hall and is overseen by Sara Elmes with a rota of adult and youth leaders. Scripture Union Trailblazers and Splash materials are used as the basis for the teaching in this group. There is a mixture of all together activities such as worship and games with small group discussions and crafts or cooking.
